The development project held its first schools festival of 2024 at Blackpool Sports Centre on Tuesday 30th January

Six schools (60 children) enjoyed a morning of rugby league. Wigan Warriors delivered the festival as part of the clubs development project. The children enjoyed an hour of skills sessions, 4 sessions of 15 minutes each followed by a round robin tag tournament.

Trustee of the club, Steve Clements, commented “it to good to see so many young people having their first taste of rugby league. There was plenty of enthusiasm for the event and lots of smiles across the morning. As we grow the awareness of the game through the festivals and the schools project with the help of Wigan Warriors we hope that club membership will increase and secure our future”
